Pratts and Paws Service Terms and Conditions

At Pratts and Paws, we provide a range of pet services to ensure the health, happiness, and well-being of your beloved companions. Please read and understand the following terms prior to availing any of our services:


 

Liability Waiver:

I, The Customer, understand that grooming procedures involve the use of sharp tools and grooming equipment that could potentially cause injury to my dog. I hereby release Pratts and Paws, its employees, agents, and representatives from any liability for accidents, injuries, illnesses, or damages that may occur to my pet while in the care of Pratts and Paws. In an event the pet attacks another pet or human, the owner will be liable for all veterinarian or medical costs associated with the accident.

Health and Safety:

All pets must be up-to-date on vaccinations and free from contagious illnesses. Owners must provide proof of vaccination upon request. Any medical conditions or special requirements must be disclosed by the owner. Owners must report any allergic reactions within 24 hours, and associated veterinary expenses will be their responsibility. Please inform us of any allergies that your pet may have in advance of the service. Pets must arrive on a leash or in a carrier for their safety and the safety of others. Dogs will undergo a behavior assessment to ensure compatibility with other pets and suitability for our services. We may use Muzzles as a last resort to ensure the safety of pets and humans. In an event the pet becomes ill during any of our services, we will make all reasonable efforts to contact the owner. In case we are unable to reach the owner, or if the state of pet's health (in our judgement) requires immediate medical attention, we are authorized to make all reasonable efforts to ensure that the pet receives proper medical attention and may engage the services of veterinarian of our own choosing. The owner agrees to pay for all medical treatment received by the pet and all other fees or disbursements incurred on the owner’s behalf. The owner understands that we are not trained to recognize and diagnose pet animal sickness or diseases and are not liable for any sickness or ailment that the pet develops while receiving any of our services.

Flea Infestation and Sanitation:

For the safety and well-being of all our clients, it is imperative that your pet is free of fleas and ticks. If fleas are found during the grooming process, a flea bath will be administered at an additional cost. We maintain a strict sanitation protocol to ensure a clean and hygienic environment for all pets.

Grooming and Bathing:

We strive for your satisfaction. We use high-quality, gentle products suitable for your pet's skin and coat. Luxury bathing may include special treatments such as aromatherapy and massage for a pampering experience. In cases where a dog's coat is severely matted, causing discomfort or potential harm to the pet, we reserve the right to perform a shave down. We prioritize the health and comfort of your pet above all else and will discuss any necessary grooming procedures with you before proceeding. Adjustments will be made upon request during pick-up. Return visits for further adjustments may incur additional fees. To ensure the safety of pets and groomers, owners are requested not to interrupt grooming sessions. Talking to pets during grooming may result in the session being terminated, with the full grooming fee charged
 

Pet Boarding, Day Care and Dog Walking:

Owners must consent to their pets being housed with other pets in the same facility. All pick up and drop offs with be made during business hours and on the dates as scheduled in the booking, unless otherwise arranged in advance with us. In an event that owner is not able to collect the pet on the scheduled date of the pick-up, the owner agrees to pays additional days boarding fee beyond scheduled pick-up date. In an event that services are provided to a pet that is not spayed or neutered, additional charges might apply. Dogs will be securely leashed and under constant supervision during walks.
 

Payment Policy:

Payment is due in full at the time of service. We accept cash, and e-transfer. Additional charges may apply for extra services or products requested during the grooming appointment. These additional charges include, but are not limited to: Special handling fees, De-matting Fees, etc.
 

Cancellation, Late, or No Show:

We kindly request a minimum of 24 hours' notice for appointment cancellations or rescheduling. Failure to provide adequate notice will result in a cancellation fee. Clients who arrive more than 15 minutes late for their appointment may be rescheduled, and a late fee may apply. Failure to show up for a scheduled appointment without prior notice may result in a no-show fee of $50.
 

Completion Time:

The duration of grooming services varies depending on the size, breed, coat condition, and specific grooming requirements of each pet. We strive to complete grooming appointments in a timely manner while ensuring the highest quality of care and attention to detail. The average groom takes a minimum of 3 hours.

Refusal of Service and Incomplete Grooms:

For the safety of our staff and other pets in our care, we reserve the right to refuse service to aggressive or extremely anxious dogs. We prioritize the well-being of all pets and will work with you to find a suitable grooming solution for your pet's needs.
 

Grooming Schedule:

Regular grooming is essential for maintaining the health and appearance of your pet's coat and skin. We recommend scheduling grooming appointments every 6-8 weeks to ensure optimal results.
 

Miscellaneous:

Pratts and Paws Pet Grooming and Spa may take photos of your pet for record-keeping and promotional purposes. Pratts and Paws is not liable for any lost or stolen items belonging to pets while in our care.

By engaging Pratts and Paws Pet Services, customers acknowledge that they have read and agreed to the terms included on this page. I, The customer, understand that failure to comply with these policies may result in additional fees or the refusal of service.
